Membership with the VCA provides your company with many valuable benefits. The VCA host multiple educational and networking events each year with a large discount provided for its members. Supplier Members have the opportunity for advertising and sponsorships to promote their business.
MEMBERSHIP BY LAWS:
Any cemetery located in Virginia ("Active), as well as its officers and employees ("Associate") shall be eligible for membership in the Association. Each cemetery shall be allowed one vote only. It is the responsibility of the cemetery to designate its representative and notify the VCA office of any changes. Person or firms supplying materials or services to cemeteries shall be admitted to membership on payment of dues and shall not be entitled to vote on questions coming before its meetings and the election of officers.
REQUIREMENTS:
All petitions for membership shall be endorsed by 2 sponsoring members of the Association, in good standing, to the Secretary, who will send a notice to all members, giving them a chance to accept or reject the applicant. After 30 days, if there is no objection to the applicant, the board of directors and the membership committee will notify the applicant that they are admitted into membership of the Virginia Cemetery Association.
TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP:
- Cemetery Members: $250.00 plus Assessments (Assessments are the number of burials in that period multiplied by $1.50. Does not apply to non-profit or city-owned properties.)
- Associate Members: $100.00
- Supplier Members: $250.00
Please see below to pay your VCA membership. Dues are paid annually by January 31st of each year.
